Paint Chip Boxes & Orgami Curtains

Paint Chip Boxes Little boxes made out of those paint chip cards that I'm always bringing home. With instructions on how to make them. I feel kinda guilty throwing them away, now I don't have to.

Great orgami like curtains. These would have looked so great in my old loft

Links on how to take photos for e-bay products via this question on AskMeFi.
Here is a link on how to build a small light diffuser from a milk jug:

I think I saw one at the shop where I bought my camera for around $50. It was much sexier but this is free!

Knitted Boots

Cute knitted boots with a tutorial on how to make them. http://www.craftzine-digital.com/craft/vol01/?sub_id=D9IQrYqlAR080 To get to the tutorial, click the "next" arrow in the top, left hand corner (Double click on the pages to enlarge them enough to read easily). I guess I need a trip to the thrift store for shoes and also to the knitting store for big, double pointed needles. I know they're going to be expensive. I wonder if I could get some wooden dowels, and using a knitting needle gauge, cut them down to size and then sharpen them in the great big hole on my old pencil sharpener. I'm sure they all used to be whittled by hand.

Toilet Seats and Compound Words

This is pretty funny. I know a lot of people can identify with it though. Link to a company that makes heated, http://www.brondell.com/products/BreezaIntro.php
Found via Daily Candy. http://www.dailycandy.com/
On further research they also have a toilet seat/bidet combo with a warm air dry feature.
Sudden word aha! Another one of those words that I've used my whole life and always known what it means but never hearing how it meant it. Never broke it down in my mind and recognized it as a compound word. Deodorizing. De-odor. Of course. Dis-ease, water-shed, etc...

Bembo's Zoo

This is fun.
Bembo's Zoo. It's an alphabet and when you click on a letter it turns into an animal using the letters that spell it's name.

Best DUI Ever

This was doing the rounds a couple of years ago. I had forgotten about it. It's still pretty funny.
Somehow, I keep picturing Frances McDormand from the movie "Fargo" as the cop.

Angels on wood

I took photos of some of
the paintings I did on wood last year, one for MD on a door panel and one to cover up the blocked doorway by the outside stairs. They look better in person but if the house sells I may not see them again.

Snow Angels

This is sweet. The world largest gathering of snow angels. It kind of reminds me of Prarie Home Companion's, Garrison Kieler's story about the time his town of Lake Woebegone decided to create a huge American Flag for the 4th of July. They all wore the appropriate red, white or blue t-shirt and stood in their part of the design. A few people at a time left to run up onto a nearby roof to view the flag. Unfortunately, as each person got to see the flag they would wander off ,so by the time the people at the end got their turn, there wasn't anything left to see.
Anyway, here are hundreds of snow angels all in one place.

How to trim a dogs nails using a dremmel

How to trim a dogs nails using a dremmel tool. Also explains the correct angle (flat, up and down rather than at an angle). Very long explanation but very complete. I tried this on Bosco's nails, pushing treats the whole time. It seemed to work well and he was really good about it. It's much better than using clippers. I've let his nails get too long because I'm afraid of clipping down too far and hurting him. I'm hoping I can keep his nails in better shape than I do mine. http://homepages.udayton.edu/~merensjp/doberdawn/index.html This same lady reccomends these dog boots which look pretty good. Made of neoprene like a wet suit with a wicking liner and rubber soles. Pricy though. If I ever need them these will be the ones tho have. Walkaboutharness.com . They also make harnesses for animals that need help walking which I hope I never need but it's good to know about.

EclecticAsylumArt

Wow. This is a video of a drawing being done by the same guy who did the ketchup and french fries drawing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gvGDsIYrrQ&NR=1
He's really amazing and at the end of some of the drawings (there are a lot) it says "Learn To Draw Portraits, subscribe now, so I did. I guess he's going to do videos and teach us in April. I wonder if he teaches locally? He's just down in Colorado Springs.
